“Everybody wants more time and I’m no exception. I know that life gets busy and you constantly have things competing for your time. That’s where I can help. I stand with my clients to create a solid, actionable financial plan to make your life easier and your goals reachable.” ~Paul
After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, Paul started his career as a financial advisor in 2004. He has spent his entire career with Viewpoint Financial Advisors, excelling in all aspects of the business. Under the mentorship of the company’s beloved president, Grace Nelson (who also happens to be Paul’s mom), he learned what it meant to put the client’s needs first. Paul has grown from an assistant advisor to a sought-after financial professional. Today, he leads the company’s Wealth Management Consulting Program and oversees portfolio allocation decisions.
As an advocate for financial literacy, Paul believes that everyone should have access to objective financial advice. In addition to educating his clients, Paul volunteers with Junior Achievement to inspire and prepare young people to succeed through financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship education. Paul also provides one-on-one pro bono financial planning services to families who otherwise could not afford to hire a financial planner.
Paul has been acknowledged by Los Angeles Magazine as a three-year winner of the Five Star Wealth Manager* award. In addition, he earned his M.B.A. in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University and is Vice President of Viewpoint Financial Advisors.
Paul and his wife, Sandra, live in the suburbs of Los Angeles in the town of Porter Ranch. They are very happy to be part of this community and feel it is a wonderful place to live and raise their daughter, Bella, and son, Vincent. Paul and Sandra are active in their local church and in supporting their children’s activities. On any given day, you might catch them hiking the local trails, hosting dinner parties, or breaking into impromptu dance offs with Bella and Vincent. In his free time, Paul enjoys reading a good book, or practicing his newer hobbies—golfing and deep sea fishing.
